Profile

Why are you here and what are you trying to accomplish here?
I started this project because it wasn't there and it should be. Just trying to do the right thing.
About Me:
People usually come to Steve Zuckerman because they want to get it right the first time.

Steve Zuckerman wears many hats, but multi-tasks them and blends them together in wonderful ways. He's a Grammy Award Winning Producer. He's an Executive Producer and Producer of Motion Pictures. The Entertainment Industry events he's created and produced have garned media attention from around the world. Infact, when he created The New York Music and Internet Expo, Newsweek Magazine gave it a cover story with three words "Rocking the Boat." He's a humanitarian, working with friends such as Jack Healey, former Executive Director of Amnesty International and Producer of their Human Rights Now Concert Tours.

So what happens when you add the following ingredients: Producer, Writer, Salesman, Visionary, Futurist, Compassionate, Humanitarian, Photographer?

You get someone who knows how to create award winning successful projects, films, records, media, events , and promotions. It's amazing what a person could do with a good intention. Some people have been able to move mountains. Steve Zuckerman has been able to not only move mountains, but create mountain ranges.

As a promoter, publicist, humanitarian and producer, he's created Grammy Award winning records, events that have brought in the likes of Paul McCartney, Pete Towshend and other industry legends, and started what has been considered the digital music revolution. All out of his tiny one-bedroom apartment in Northern New Jersey.

"I need no office to do my work," he says matter-of-factly. I know who I am and what I'm capable of doing. I also known my limitations. The art---the art of causing something to happen---needs no office, no three piece suit. It needs intention, grounding, and a sincere core vision. Without a clear vision-----than nothing happens."

Take for example a phone call that came to him one evening, a phone call from legendary guitarist and inventor Les Paul, asking the young Zuckerman to get a message to Paul McCartney. By creating new possibilities, that meeting led to a few more meetings, and the development of the team that would lead =im and the entire team----to two Grammy Awards. Or take, for =xample, the time he took two years off from the music business, and he took a =riends advice when his friend said to him:

"If you go into a bank and try to rob it with a toy gun, the bank wins. So instead, go in with a tank."

And the tank he created in 1998 was the New York Music and Internet Expo---at the very beginning of the digital music revolution. "I found that most of the companies involved with the business of music lost their hearts and souls. The other events were purely about market share. I always felt a sensitivity to great art. I wanted to create an event for artists---people who had something to say-----and spent many months investigating the digital music world. I discovered most of the people in the industry had no knowledge of music or the way it can affect people. I made a commitment to do something about it."

In just six months, he created, developed and produced an event by selling every sponsor, every exhibitor, securing every panelist and keynoter. It's amazing what one can do when they truly care about their vision. By the time we were ready for the 2nd show in March of 2000, because of space limitations in the venue, we were forced to turn down 140 companies who wanted to exhibit. By that time, I had made a deal for my company, took a position at another company in New York, and moved the show into the Expo Center of Madison Square Garden. "The dot com market had burst, and companies were closing up every day. I found myself ousted from the company I created. It was that time I decided to create another show, GEMS: The Global Entertainment and Media Summit."

That show brought the same vision of the EXPO together with film and media. "My intuition told me that the same thing would happen to the film =tudios that would and media giants that happen to the record companies----it was a perfect time for a new show."

Nine years after creating the show that changed the music business forever, he's still at it---but this time, it's getting back to his childhood roots: science, space, politics and human rights.

Combining his love for producing events that help people to evolve and further their lives and careers, Mr. Zuckerman has been asked to assist numerous entertainment, science and space as well as spiritual organizations by utilizing his core skills.

"To wake up every day knowing I have something to look forward to doing, that somehow---it makes a positive difference in the lives of others, is quite an amazing feeling. And to be motivated by empowering others is wonderful as well."

LET US KNOW WHAT YOU ARE UP TO?

The idea for this network emerged in December of 2008 and was launched on January 2nd or 3rd. While I do not recall the exact day of launch, I do recall launching it---I was passionate about this and also packing boxes to move to Florida. It was not easy to take my life's work and passions and pack the remnants of them into boxes marked "Office, A" "Office B" "Bedroom" "Clothing--take of 30 pounds" and the like. The last mentioned of the boxes was my least favorite of them. But I had a mission… Continue

Good Evening and Hello from Delray Beach, Florida. My dear friend Jeremy X. Halpern from NYC wrote a wonderful note this afternoon that I would like to share with you. Oh wait! I just got ten Myspace friends I've never met that want me to be their friends. Made my Day----not. In regards to the chall… Continue
