And I live in a swamp bog.In this weeks blog:

2-Finally see how the panels from the last 4 weeks come together.
3-See some details from my current painting in progress.

7 Insidious Illnesses That Zap Your Innovation Health
By John Storm
Is your corporate culture sick?
Over the years, I’ve discovered many people and organizations who suffer from a variety of innovation illnesses. In medical terms, these maladies CAN be diagnosed in traditional ways. By identifying the symptoms we normally observe on the surface, we can usually find the root cause. These ailments inhibit your company’s performance by draining away precious energy, critical resources, po… Continue

Life isn’t always easy. Some say life is a struggle, a challenge. We often hear the saying “up a creek without a paddle.” Life can be a test, you’re either prepared or unprepared. Who we become as adults is greatly influenced by the way we are raised as children. The abilities and skills to survive and excel in this test of life are forever ingrained in us by our parents and educators. In this fast-paced ever evolving world, the prepared are able to rise to the challenges of life and fortune of… Continue
The idea for this network emerged in December of 2008 and was launched on January 2nd or 3rd. While I do not recall the exact day of launch, I do recall launching it---I was passionate about this and also packing boxes to move to Florida. It was not easy to take my life's work and passions and pack the remnants of them into boxes marked "Office, A" "Office B" "Bedroom" "Clothing--take of 30 pounds" and the like. The last mentioned of the boxes was my least favorite of them.
But I had a mission… Continue

It was reported today that Toronto comedian Guy Earle will face a human rights tribunal after insulting a woman at a Vancouver stand-up show. The woman, Lorna Pardy, complained that she and her friends faced “a tirade of homophobic and sexist comments” while attending a show at a Vancouver comedy club.
Earle, who was the emcee at the show, claims the woman and her friends walked in, sat in the booth closest to the stage and began heckling him and other… Continue
Howdy,
I have been a bit out of touch as of late. I played a bunch of shows in SoCal in May and then left to travel quite a bit. Played a few shows in Europe and mostly kicked around and enjoyed seeing and learning. Really liked Austria. I am heading back over to Germany in September for a mini-tour with the Fab Lushes. Oktoberfest and some shows should be quite a hoot. In the meantime I am getting back into the studio with Threeleggeddog over the next few weeks to record some new numbers. I'm… Continue

Good Evening and Hello from Delray Beach, Florida.
My dear friend Jeremy X. Halpern from NYC wrote a wonderful note this afternoon that I would like to share with you. While I cannot ask for each and everyone of you to understand what he's saying or how/why I live my life the way I do, I truly believe this guy gets what I'm doing and what we should be doing here. Oh wait! I just got ten Myspace friends I've never met that want me to be their friends. Made my Day----not.

This story was forwarded by a friend at www.kurzweilai.net after discussing the establishment of a project we will produce together. While this piece was originally written in late 2007, please take a look at some of the predictions and see how accurate some of it may have been. We are at a time of seismic change. Those who refuse to ignore the change will be forced out of the equation---those who embrace change have a fighting chance to survive and succee… Continue

I didn't know I could blog here! I really haven't been able to go into this site in depth yet, and I do declare I'm happy to know I can blog!
I've been doing all my blogging on MySpace, but here I can talk about the business and people actually care (well.... maybe).
So I went to this audition on Friday, and it was very unprofessional. First of all, there was no one at the door at all! Some guy was on his computer at a table, but no one was there to tell anyone what was going on. Then, when I fi… Continue

ZENsters,
As you may already know, I am generally motivated by stories that examine human life and spirit and that somehow make a difference. I am fortunate that some of my closest friends in the business of entertainment and media are activists, people such as Jack Healey who was the Executive Director of Amnesty International for many years and produced their concerts with Bill Graham featuring Bruce Springsteen, U2, REM and Tracey Chapman. They are examples of people who were change agents a… Continue

Good Morning,
In the past two weeks, two very huge events happened in the world of entertainment distribution that will somehow cause artists around the world to take notice.
1) Last. FM which is owned predominantly by CBS, a Viacom company has failed to come up with an agreeable royalty contract with the Warner Music Group. Remember, Warner is owned by a man known for selling beverages, (Seagreams.) Viacom also owns MTV, VH1, CBS, Cartoon Network and Paramount, to name a few the hundreds owne… Continue

In the next 10 years, the whole world of media, communications and advertising are going to be turned upside down — my opinion.
Here are the premises I have. Number one, there will be no media consumption left in 10 years that is not delivered over an IP network. There will be no newspapers, no magazines that are delivered in paper form. Everything gets delivered in an electronic form.
Yeah. If it’s 14 or if it’s 8, it’s i… Continue

Verge returns 20 years after they began!
Most people recall the mysterious disappearance and sordid details that came to light in the bizarre demise of Verge back in 1995. Of the few remnants that remain from their rollicking journey, the most revealing is their CD release on 1-800-Weirdos Records, “Little Idiot”, and their web site at http://www.weirdos.com/verge.

On April 1st, 1998, Les Paul called me to inspire me to continue. Jimmy Webb Interviewed by Steve Zuckerman
Sitting together in his Soho, New York recording studio, I was nervous prior to interviewing songwriting icon Jimmy Webb. Being a piano player, I've often been asked to play MacArthur Park by my family and friends, and there I was, on a warm summer afternoon, sitting face to face with one of my songwriting idols. From the moment we met and throughout the entire process of question and answer, I felt comfortable, as comfortable as could be, in dialogue w…
